At Flour Power, we celebrate the heart and soul of our culinary heritage. Our name honours the incredible women who have lovingly prepared meals behind the Saj in Lebanon, creating spaces where family and friends come together. This tradition of nourishment and connection inspires everything we do. Flour Power also pays tribute to the remarkable woman who ignited our founder’s passion and to all the amazing women who have the courage to embrace their true selves. We’re inspired by those who share their warmth, generosity, and light with others, and we’re dedicated to spreading that spirit wherever we go.
Sacha, the founder and heart of Flour Power, was born and raised in Lebanon and moved to Canada 12 years ago. A true food enthusiast, she learned to cook from her grandmother and always sought out local markets for fresh ingredients during her travels, creating simple yet delicious dishes. In 2021, while exploring Beirut, Sacha tasted the best manoushe of her life and met Rima, a skilled flatbread maker. She spent two weeks learning from Rima before returning to Canada with a Saj. Back home, Sacha began cooking and hosting friends, who affectionately started calling her “Saja.”
Now, Sacha has fully embraced her passion, working from a kitchen in the Junction. As the driving force behind Flour Power, she and her team craft traditional recipes with a modern twist, delighting customers at farmers' markets and festivals.
We cater to all types of events, whether it's an office lunch, birthday party, or gallery opening. You can choose from a selection of sharing platters for pickup, or we can come to your venue and set up a buffet. For those special occasions where you want to make a lasting impression and gather people around the Saj, we can bring a saj to serve gourmet manoushe to your guests.
